The Journey to
PinkSS

Looking at the original website goal, we are reminded of the run (fun) we had.

The journey has been 2-1/2 years. At this point, we have taken the car to many venues including all GM Carlisle, where we won a Celebratory choice award (thanks to Tony Maiale) and several ECIRS races (and a few TNT runs at local tracks).

As you know, PINKSS was built for a specific reason: to be on the PINKS TV show. It is more than clear that the opportunity for a PINKS race has passed. We tried to get into PINKS ALL OUT several times and, as a matter of fact, we did get in once. Unfortunately, the car was in NJ for an extended stay and was not race ready.

The TV show PASS TIME was also contacted to see if they would put the car on their show. Nothing became of that.

The original purpose was to be on PINKS. We built a motor for the purpose of competing on PINKS and not for long-term use. That motor blew. Fred provided a second motor with Nab's input, and ran the car at different tracks for additional exposure with only some success. The second motor also failed. A motor that ran a best of 12.16 NA! Win or Lose, both results were covered, and we think you will agree that it was fun preparing, however, it never came to be. [Or it was not ours to be had.]

We are sorry to say that the journey has ended.

Funds owed (when the culprit is found and locked up) and funds on-hand will go to a charity that is somehow decided. Fred will look into providing trophies and/or plaques for most everyone involved.

Thank you for your participation. Special thanks to Shawn Leighty -aka Bud and Justin Jesneck. Extra Special Thanks to Fred's wife Kinta.

Please contribute your idea for a charitable organization to donate leftover funds. Once we have an idea of organizations, we can set up a poll to narrow down the choice.
